This little house really was a perfect little basecamp to explore Leavenworth and climb in Icicle Canyon over a long weekend. It's close enough to town to be convenient while being far enough out to be peaceful and quiet. The house had everything I needed for my stay, but things to note: The kitchen was well stocked, but it has a countertop hot plate vs an oven, so plan cooking accordingly (there is a grill outside on the porch). Convenience of being located close to town and climbing (5-10 minutes max either way down Icicle road) to be ideal. Would highly recommend. Thanks again!

Michelle (our Great Escapes Host) was great! We had been snowed out in the middle of Feb and could not make it to our weekend stay at Quail Cottage in Leavenworth. We were so disappointed and expected that we would be forfeiting the entire amount. But Michelle was so understanding and worked with us to schedule another weekend - at no extra cost! Incredible! Now days you just don't seem to get that kind of personal service and understanding. Thanks to Michelle we had a great stay at Quail Cottage and a great weekend getaway.

Our stay was perfect.
Quail Cottage was great - very comfortable and perfect for two. The location was perfect - out of town so you got a real country feel, but close to town for convenience. I think for more than two (example two couples) it would be a little inconvenient as the one bathroom is through the main bedroom and there is no door between the bedroom and living room. In other words, no privacy.

We enjoyed our stay at the house. It is conveniently located just 2 miles away from the downtown area and is in turn away from the loud and hustle bustle. There are all the amenities you can think of, kitchen is very well equipped if you would want to cook. We loved the fireplace in the bedroom and totally recommend this place.

Such a nice location and very thoughtful hosts. We had a great time, it was the perfect space for a weekend for our family. The place was spotless! This is an incredibly well located place. Impeccably clean, and more spacious than then pictures show. It was easy to check in, and very clean. The kitchen is well equipped. We loved this place and hope to come back!

Oktoberfest at its best. This place is cozy and celebrates the fall season. Only 2 of us on this trip and was more than enough space. Thoughtful touches upon arrival and enjoyed the wood stove in bedroom. This is along the shuttle path for festival and plenty of Uber drivers available too... so no need to pay extra for a hotel in town when you can have your own quiet comfortable space not too far out. We will be back

It was a challenge to find our way to the home without the driving instructions they had provided to us. Luckily, the host was in contact with us within a few short moments to help us find our way in.

Our stay was wonderful! Everything was very clean and the grounds were immaculate. We unpacked our bags and eagerly headed out to the back patio. The views are absolutely stunning! It was just a couple short minutes between the home and the heart of downtown. Driving back and forth throughout the weekend was a breeze. We want to thank the host for being so welcoming and being available whenever necessary. Thank you for sharing your property with us. We highly recommend it to others!

This is a gem of a place for a family getaway from the town or the urban life. The house is beautiful and the views mesmerizing. The description is accurate and you'd fall in love with the property. We really enjoyed roaming around the property, even sitting at the patio and enjoying the nature in such a calm setting. Will love to visit again.

I came up here for two nights and had such a peaceful stay at your home. The early morning sunshine on the porch made for a few indulgent mornings having coffee and smoking in the view. Spectacular views in a peaceful and welcoming home. Within walking distance are a trailhead, a U-pick berry patch and a meandering river...perfect for a romantic or rejuvenating getaway.

Very enjoyable experience! Clean, cute, well-appointed cottage conveniently located. The owners, who lived next door, were extremely thoughtful and shoveled our driveway and walk after it snowed. They also offered us an extra night stay, free of charge, due to the unexpected snowfall. Although we didn't end up staying, the offer was extremely gracious and considerate and we appreciated the thoughtfulness of the entire experience. We would definitely stay again!

You do need a car to get to the city but its worth it. Downtown is too busy and noisy. Its great to take a break from the busy-ness and sleep in a quiet, scenic house. Downtown is not the main attraction. The mountains are. Its within a walking distance to a beautiful hiking trail, Icicle Ridge. The house feels brand new and was very clean.

We came to Leavenworth for my birthday weekend. It was absolutely perfect. The town itself is beautiful with all the lights, great restaurants & shops. And the icing on the cake was snow on my birthday.
